New Moon Cacao Ceremony · Carlsbad
Kundalini Activation with Cacao
An evening Kundalini Activation in my temple, supported by a cacao ceremony, to set your intentions and open the heart. We share a warm cup of ceremonial cacao, then you lie down for a Kundalini Activation. No experience needed.

The evening
Two unhurried hours, held from the moment you arrive.
- I
Arriving
You settle in as the space is cleared and opened with prayer and intention. Many people come on their own, and you’ll be welcomed as you are.
- II
The cacao
We share a warm cup of ceremonial cacao. You hold it at your heart, set your intentions for the new cycle into it, and sip slowly.
- III
Dropping in
I often begin with the breath. Depending on the evening, that may be guided breathwork, gentle postures and kriyas, or a light body activation.
- IV
Receiving
Then you lie down, close your eyes and receive the Kundalini Activation, held by music, sound and the energy in the room. Light touch on points is part of my practice, and it is always optional.
- V
Integrating
We close with quiet time and gentle sharing, so you can land in your body before you head home.
In my practice
Why I gather at the new moon
I’ve always felt deeply connected to the moon and its cycles. For me, it’s about being in natural flow with the rhythm of life and nature, and gathering in circle around the new moon feels meaningful and intentional. In my practice, the new moon is a time for intentions and new beginnings.
I know the power of an intention from my own life. A couple of years ago, I set an intention to do this spiritual work full time. Aligning with that vision led me to step into something completely new, and I feel very empowered by that.
At the new moon I serve ceremonial cacao, usually a Blue Lotus cacao or a heart-opening rose cacao. As you hold your warm cup at your heart, we speak our intentions out loud. If you’d rather keep yours quiet, you can simply hold it in your heart. Both are welcome. We pray, and we work with sound, and often with fire and water too. Big or small, there’s no wrong intention.
I always listen to what arises in the group, so the circle, the rituals and the ceremony are never the same twice. Then you lie down and receive the Kundalini Activation with your intentions held close.
About ceremonial cacao
The drink of the heart

An ancient sacred drink
Cacao has been prepared as a ceremonial drink in Mesoamerica for thousands of years. The Maya and the Mexica shared it in ritual, celebration and offering, and it was treasured enough to be traded as currency.
A warm, grounding ally
I work with ceremonial cacao as a gentle companion for setting intentions. A few slow sips help you arrive in your body and soften into the heart before the activation begins.
Warm, open, connected
Guests often tell me they feel warmer, more open-hearted and more present in their bodies. Everyone’s experience is their own.
The Full Moon Cacao Ceremony and Kundalini Activation were incredible. I felt so much energy moving through my body, like something inside me was healing and releasing.
Please sip with care. Ceremonial cacao is gentle, but it is a real plant medicine, and it is always optional. Please skip it or ask for a smaller cup if you take antidepressants (especially MAOIs), blood pressure or blood-thinning medication, have a heart condition or low blood pressure, or are pregnant or nursing, and check with your doctor first. When I make Blue Lotus cacao, please also skip it if you take sedatives or other medications, and give yourself unhurried time before driving home. Herbal tea is always available, so just let me know on your booking form.

About the activation
What is Kundalini Activation?
In yogic traditions, Kundalini is described as life-force energy resting at the base of the spine. A Kundalini Activation is a transmission of energy that helps that current move through the body.
There is nothing to learn and nothing to perform. You lie down, close your eyes and let your body respond in its own way. Some people feel warmth, tingling or waves of emotion. Some move or make sound. Some simply rest more deeply than they have in weeks. Whatever happens for you is welcome.
You simply lie down, close your eyes and receive.

Before you come
Questions
It’s my first time. Is that okay?
Yes. No experience is needed, and most guests come to their first ceremony not knowing what to expect. I’ll guide you through every part of the evening.
Can I come on my own?
Of course. Many people do. The circle is small, so you’re never lost in a crowd.
Where is it?
In my temple in the La Costa area of Carlsbad, California. The address is sent by email after you book.
What does cacao taste like, and does it have caffeine?
I usually make a Blue Lotus cacao or a heart-opening rose cacao. It’s strong, thick and creamy, often made with tahini or coconut milk, a little sweetened with agave or honey, and not very spiced. It does contain some caffeine, usually less than a cup of coffee, along with theobromine, a gentler stimulant found in cacao. If you’re sensitive to caffeine, let me know on your booking form and I’ll pour you a smaller cup or herbal tea instead. Please also tell me there about any allergies, such as sesame, coconut or nuts.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, a water bottle and an open heart. Mats, blankets and everything else are held for you.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full refunds up to 48 hours before the ceremony. Within 48 hours, your space can be moved to a future ceremony. Same-day cancellations and no-shows can’t be refunded or transferred.
